Here we have provided links for you to understand what these licenses provide. How do I get my Gaming Industry Employees License? You do not have to attend a course to gain your Gaming Industry Employees License. A gaming license consists of a series of checks, including a police check, to ensure that an individual is of sound character and fit to work within the gaming industry. The license is issued by the Victorian Commission for Gambling Regulation (VCGR) and usually takes between three and six weeks to process. An application form is available for download at www.vcgr.vic.gov.au What is the Responsible Serving of Gaming Certificate? If you are seeking employment within the gaming industry, the completion of the RSG certificate is a legal requirement. In compliance with all relevant Victorian gaming legislation, you will learn about all the rights and responsibilities which are attached to a Gaming Industry Employees License. Program elements include: -Formal procedures involved in the service of gaming -Providing a responsible gambling service -Your rights and obligations under legislation -Learning about problem gamblers -Social impacts of gambling -Counselling techniques -Procedures concerning barring customers. -Learn how to obtain your Gaming Industry Employees License. What is the Responsible Serving of Alcohol Certificate? The RSA certificate is an industry compulsory requirement for anybody working in an environment where alcohol is available for purchase. Elements covered whilst obtaining the certificate: -Learn about your obligations as a bartender -Understanding the laws and regulations regarding the serving of alcohol. -Preparing and serving alcoholic beverages responsibly. -Learning to appropriately deal with alcohol affected customers. -Assisting customers to drink alcohol within appropriate limits -Identifying customers who can be refused service. -Alcohol use and its effect of the human body. RSA and RSG relates to the Nationally Recognised units of competency required by this industry. A number of suitably qualified training providers conduct these courses. The Kyabram Club utilizes Somers Elite Training to ensure the qualifications of the Kyabram Club employees are always current. Somers Elite Training conduct these courses at various metropolitan and regional locations throughout Victoria. The Food Handlers Certificate is industry requirement for person/s involved in the preparation and/or serving of food. Person/s seeking employment within the hospitality industry are advised to obtain this certificate. The Kyabram Community and Learning Centre regularly conduct training courses to qualify for this certificate.
